halloweenie

I’m uploading some pictures from last night. There are no good pictures of my costume :( I’ll post what I have, you’ll be confused, but just smile and nod and know that we had lots of fun. Hopefully Nate’s friends got better pictures, and he’ll actually tell me about them when he finds them, so I can link. I’d really like to send one to the lady who made my costume, because it was really REALLY awesome, and now it’s got highlighter on it. Anyway, throughout the night there was a bit of inappropriate touching (which would be anyone but Nate) … followed by a lot of appropriate touching (because it was only Nate), back at the hotel. That’s always fun :)

OMG super slow hotel internet. But at least it’s working now, so I won’t complain too much. But really. These pictures will take forever.

We woke up late this morning and missed breakfast, but we went out for delicious sandwiches at a non-greasy place, so that was probably better. I love coming to Portland and hanging out with Nate’s friends, but most of the time my stomach doesn’t. Mostly my stomach wants to die all weekend. Which is why the first thing I do when we leave town is hit the rest area in Yarmouth. For pooping!

Then we went to the comic book store, and I bought GEEK Magazine and Cancer Made Me a Shallower Person, by Miriam Engleberg. I finished the book, and when I finish the magazine they’re both going with me to work. I really have no use for such a book (though it was entertaining), but I know several people who would enjoy it there. And really, who needs to read a magazine twice? Except for my stash of wedding magazines and Real Simple that I have at home, I mean. I can’t throw those away. What kind of maniac are you?

We went to see Zack and Miri Make a Porno, which I’m glad to say was hilarious. I think Seth Rogen finally found a director who can keep him in check, keeping him awkward and adorable and geeky and gross and all the things that he can do well, without being awful like in Knocked Up or those ones that look so bad I won’t even watch them. It helps, though, that it was written specifically with him in mind. I love Seth Rogen, and now I don’t have to also hate him.

Now Nate’s at BrewFest and I’m happily not invited. I can’t even imagine what a crowd there is, I haven’t found a beer I like yet, and seriously, I have better things to spend my money on. Like running shoes. That’s tomorrow.

Pictures are up!

Bar maid? That’s what I guessed when I looked at your pictures. The end. Time for bed.
