foobar2000

The thing about iTunes is, I’ve been using it for so long that I have become completely dependent on it. I’ve spent hours — probably days, even — playlisting and rating my songs. I don’t want to lose those if I switch to another jukebox program, even one as awesome as foobar.

Of course, I could be smart about it and see if anyone else had this problem

As someone who has nearly exhaustively researched iTunes alternatives, I must say I am still quite happy with MediaMonkey. One of the *major* selling features is its ability to import all your iTunes ratings and play counts (plus you can rate by half-star increments). And it’s quite customizable. And way more user friendly than foobar. I tried many times, but just couldn’t get into foobar.

Play counts! I wouldn’t lose my play counts! That is awesome!
